Mise en Scene is a term used to describe the setting of a scene in a play or a film. It refers to everything placed on the stage or in front of the camera—including people. In other words, mise en scène is a catch-all for everything that contributes to the visual presentation and overall “look” of a production.

Setting
My Short is shot in two different location a) A Fancy Modern High School and b) An Old dual room Flat. Well my 90 percent of film is shot in the school but is necessary to show the importance of each location in the main characters perspective.
My First location is a fancy modern high school therefore i have to arrange for all the props and other mise en scene components that will give the look and feel of a proper school and classrooms. And my biggest challenge is that i have to set up a ART and Design class. Which comprises of all the stationary for example sketchbooks, paints, brushes, color pencil, soft boards and etc. and the challenge is that i also have to set up a entire art wall which will be saturated by all the art works by students. To set up the entire set is going to require heavy work into ART Direction .
My Second location is Aslam’s home which has two rooms one for its father and the other one is Aslam’s room. As Aslam is from a lower class his house is also not maintained, the paint on the walls is very old there are cracks on the walls and ceilings, the house is not cleaned for quite a long long time because there are dust particle all over the house. the rooms will have small mattresses without a bed, bed sheets all stained and not cleaned, the furniture is also very old and termited.
