The Editing for this movie was quite different . I had to adapt my editing style according to this project. My Short film is a silent movie . So I had to translate and show case my movie to the audience with the help of camera work and editing. My Camera movement was slow and soothing therfore i had to make sure that when it comes to cuts, they should be soft and to avoid any sort of jump cuts or harsh cuts.

Sound

For editing I knew this thing for sure that as my movie didnot had any dialogues So I had to put in some best soundtracks so that it could take my movie from a 7 to 10.5. I Spent my days and night to find the best soundtracks. My movie had different moods and scenarios so i had to find different soundtrack But the all should not sound completly different from one another because it will be difficult to fade in those BGMs. My Short film had slow editing and softer cuts therefore i wanted a slow piano music. but alot more character to it so i also added a bit of cello in particular scenes. I got my sound tracks from youtube and made sure that they were copyright free.

Color Correction and Grading

My Next Struggle in editing was Color Correction and Color Grading the real problem was that almost every scene had different lighting scenario so i had to careful of that while working with colors. I decide earlier that my film will be in two different format black and white and colored . So it was a challenge to switch and where to switch .
